Hi, I’m M.C. Danielsen
- a YA romance author who believes love stories are funnier (and messier) when younger siblings crash your plans, your best friend might not just be your best friend, and your small-town summer doesn’t go remotely how you imagined. I write characters who are figuring themselves out, one dandelion wish or late-night confession at a time.
Why I Write What I Write
I tell stories full of heart, humor, and high school drama. Clean but swoony. Chaotic but real. My books are about friendship, first love, and all the big feelings that don’t fit into a college essay. Whether you’re team “they’ve always liked each other” or rooting for the slow-burn crush, you’ll find something to love — especially if you like smart girls, soft boys, and a little chaos.

My current series takes place in a small western North Dakota town where group chats, summer camps, and unexpected goodbyes collide. North Riverbend High School is for anyone who’s ever made a mixtape in their head, fallen for someone too quietly, or learned the hard way that endings can sometimes be the beginning.
